I see the illustration of the father in the story and feel that perhaps it is a bit like looking into a mirror (I may not have the beard but I know that expression has been on my own face at times). Yes, this has been a really difficult time.

What I like about this story is that it gives us hope. It certainly depicts what life has been like for quite a while. While it is not spelled out explicitly (the C-word is never used once), you will certainly recognize it immediately. This week’s second selection is about Covid.
